Office LED Lighting

Offices are prime spaces for switching to LED lighting.  The majority of offices are currently lit by fluorescent, compact fluorescent (CFL) or halogen and incandescent lighting.  In all of these cases, the switch to LED delivers significant energy savings.

LED to replace Halogen & Incandescent

With halogen and incandescent lighting, an office can expect to see their energy consumption to fall by over 80% by switching to LED.  That’s right, these older technologies are extremely inefficient when compared to LED lighting.  The high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of LED provides the same, or greater, brightness, while eliminating the Infra Red light sometimes created by older technologies.  In addition, LED lasts far longer than these historical lighting methods and eliminates the need for ongoing bulb purchases and replacements.  The years of projected lifetime use will dramatically reduce the landfill waste you produce, helping make a greener planet.

Our Halogen & Incandescent replacement bulbs are all driven by Samsung chips and carry warranties far exceeding the time required to pay off their initial investment.  In fact, with the combination of the significant LED energy savings and the Ontario rebates, which our lights are pre-qualified for, typical offices will see a full return on their investment in only a few months.

At Swantech Energy Solutions we specialize in the retrofitting office spaces to environmentally friendly, energy efficient LED lighting.  With a full range of warrantied replacements for incandescent and halogen bulbs you can be saving energy in minutes.  We carry state-of-the-art fluorescent panels that can quickly be placed in dropped ceilings or suspended in open concept areas.

In other cases, our exclusive plug and play fluorescent tube replacement immediately replaces existing T8 or T12 fluorescent tubes.  This revolutionary product, the only one of its kind in Ontario, works with and without the existing ballast; no other plug and play system has this feature.  Switching to LED tube lighting is as easy as replacing the existing tube.  When the ballast fails just simply have your electrician bypass the ballast (a quick and easy procedure) and the LED plug and play tube keeps on working.

All of our fluorescent retrofit measures are:

  • Pre-Qualified for Ontario Rebates – helping you save additional money
  • Warrantied – for peace of mind
  • From Canadian based companies – for immediate support, if needed
  • State-of-the-Art – employing the latest generation technologies

LED to replace Fluorescent and Compact Fluorescent (CFL) Lighting

It’s time to get rid of fluorescent lighting in the workplace.  LED replacements for fluorescent tubes and bulbs make sense from an environmental perspective and a workplace health and safety perspective.

The ugly truth about fluorescent lighting is that is isn’t good for the environment.  Not only does it consume more than twice the energy of LED, but fluorescent tubes and CFL bulbs contain mercury and other toxins.  The alarming fact is that less than 20% of old fluorescents are correctly disposed of, and we’re filling our landfills with these harmful toxins.

Fluorescents work through the production of harmful UV rays.  The powdery coating inside a fluorescent tube or a CFL bulb acts as a filter, cutting our exposure to UV radiation.  It does a good job, but doesn’t filter all the UV radiation.  LED replacements for fluorescents do not create UV rays and do not expose people to UV radiation.

The hum and flicker created by fluorescent office lighting are proven to lead to headaches, eyestrain, fatigue, irritability and attention deficits.  These ailments are eliminated when you adopt LED lighting, leading to a happier, healthier, more productive workplace.

 Upgrading to LED makes sense.
